I have made a free scripting tool add-on
You must click the applet above for it to begin. This is because it's an
unregistered version.
Above is a sample of Goetz's Graphics Kit. This particular example was made
using the free scripting tool add-on.
This applet will let you write a simple script to show a graphical display on a web page. You can use jpg or gif images, create images as polygons, lines, arcs, rectangles, etc., and use text. You can even link the applet to web pages. The url information can change in the script, to allow multiple items to be shown in the same applet. The program has numerous options and configurations for a wide range of uses. You can make banner ads, text displays, or anything where you can use images or text. Detailed instructions are included to explain all the scripting options. Examples are included in the zip file.
This applet allows you to do tasks that are not possible with animated gifs. This allows you to assign a unique URL to a frame or frames in the display. This lets you show for example various items available on your site. When the visitor clicks on an item it will take them to that item's page. The applet can even pause when the visitor moves the mouse over the applet and display info in the status bar about the item.
Animation is even smaller in file size than an animated gif. You can take an image and change it's size, location, or zoom it in or out and the applet only needs one image for this. In an animated gif, you'd have to have multiple images and the download size would increase with each frame of animation. Here the applet downloads the image once and then manipulates it on the display. Another unique feature is that you can have jpg files for animations. Since jpgs are smaller in file size than gifs, this will also reduce the animation size further.
When viewing them, you will need to click the applet to start it. This is because the applet is in unregistered mode. After you click, there will be a slight delay while the script loads.
A very simple text display.
